Welcome to Alison B Designs

Born in New York City, I came to fine art glass design after careers in interior design, fashion styling and cooking.

Arriving in Chapel Hill, NC, I began to explore different methods of jewelry design.  When I took my first class in fused glass, I was hooked, and knew I would be exploring this medium for a long time and in great depth.

I eventually taught a class in fused glass jewelry at the Carrborro ArtsCenter, and I continue to teach privately in my studio in Chapel Hill.

I hope you will enjoy browsing my site.  Glass in all its forms has become such a huge passion, it is reflected in my work.  It is endlessly absorbing because each piece is one of a kind.  
Photos of sold pieces are moved to the Portfolio after two or three weeks.  Please have a look there, too. Though all the jewelry and accessories
are one of a kind, I can produce something very similar, at no additional cost.
